MRS C from Ramsgate

A great way to relax and be at one with the English countryside.
Mr S from Northampton

The experience of a boating holiday is worth a week of anyones life and because of this I would strongly recommend it to everyone. Even our Teenage son managed to enjoy the experience.
Mr H from Stockport

We all had a great time. It was our own little family adventure!
Mr D from Cambridgeshire

The holiday was perfect, we found it very relaxing! The facilities and moorings were in plenty and I particularly enjoyed visiting Cambridge, Ely and St Ives.
Mrs B from West Drayton

This is a great location for a lads holiday.
Mr U from Huddersfield

This was a first time experience and one which we are keen to repeat. We really enjoyed the placid lifestyle and the wide range of wildlife – we have never seen so many Kingfishers before! We would really recommend cruising on our national waterways – there is so much to do and discover and there is really no need to go abroad at all. Many thanks for a truly eye-opening experience!
Mr H from Bracknell

We had a lovely time and it was very relaxing.
Mrs W from Tenterden

Cambridge waterways are recommended, they are quieter than the Broads, but with a few locks it gives a totally new dimension to boating!
Mr F from Livingston

The perfect relaxing break – Bridge Boatyard is outstanding. Why put yourself through the tedium and delay of flight based short holiday breaks?
Mr Y from Sandy

A great holiday, the views were stunning and it was very relaxing and very enjoyable.
Mr T from March

We had a fantastic holiday on the Great Ouse and Cam, and everyone we happened to meet was very friendly. Very relaxing, and good choice of places to visit.
Mrs P from Pudsey

A great holiday for a family with teenagers!
Mrs R from Basingstoke

The Great Ouse upstream from Ely is a beautiful cruise.
Mr W from Cambridgeshire

Very relaxing away from it all holiday.
Mr A from Chatham

A unique adventure, no 2 holidays could possibly be the same.
Mr C from Tonbridge

For a getaway from it all experience Cruise the Ouse, lots of wildlife picturesque river, and handy country pubs on route. Everyone we met on the river was friendly and welcoming and willing to help when we encountered difficulties.
Mrs L from West Drayton

If you like the Norfolk Broads but find it too busy, then a holiday in the Fens is ideal. Cruising for a couple of hours and only seeing 2 or 3 other boats was very tranquil and the wildlife was far more abundant. A trip down the Old West River, stopping at the historic market town of St Ives, then Houghton Mill etc was sooo interesting. Always room to moor the boat especially when we realised we could use the GOBA moorings!
Mrs H from Baldock

We all had a good time, this is the first time we had done this, going through and operating the locks was fun and easy once we got the hang of it, we would do it again.

What do other people say about San Moritz from Richardsons Cruisers

I was advised before the holiday that I would be able to charge my phone with a car charger but I couldn’t find a socket anywhere on the boat. The boat was described as having carpets in the living areas but it was lino throughout. There was absolutely no TV reception no matter where the aerial was placed. We found it almost impossible to moor in many of the more popular areas and it isn’t even peak season. We had been on a broads holiday previously on the boat Soprano and we paid a similar amount for a far superior boat, admittedly it was in May but on bank holiday weekend. We are a little disappointed as we feel that the broads experience is expensive in comparison to other holidays we could have booked for the same money.
Mrs B from Spalding

It is very relaxing there are lots of places to got to and young children enjoy the boat ride.
Mrs M from Norfolk

A great holiday if you have teenagers…. Keeps them active and motavated….. Brilliant and a real British family holiday…. The children can not wait to again… “better than a holiday abroad” quote from our 13 year old boy.
Miss C from Harpenden

Cruising the Broads is a great family holiday with lots to do and see. I was worried that my 4 year old may get a bit bored but she loved every minute! My older children really enjoyed helping out on the boat with mooring and casting off, and we all had lots of exercise during our stops and plenty of clean, fresh air.
Mr K from Staines

A peaceful, relaxing holiday. Often you are alone on the river just you and the Kingfishers. Lots of good pubs and restaurants serving good food and real ales. We shall return for the umpteenth time!
Mr P from Grimsby

Brilliant time had by all – no improvements needed!

What do other people say about Alpha Spitfire from Alpha Craft

Most enjoyable, relaxing, and truly a get away from it all holiday.. For those who have been before, this is a very good boat to handle despite its size. For those who have not been before don’t be put off by its size as the bow thrusters are powerfull and will really help you when mooring. However, if you are like me, I find if more challenging to not use the bow thrusters but use the flow of the current to assist mooring instead.
Mr H from Doncaster

Nothing could have really improved this holiday, it was great and the good weather was the icing on the cake!
Mr F from Northampton

An ideal and relaxing holiday, you have the choice of being really active or just lazing in one location. Brilliant scenery which you can only really appreciate when moored up (not racing by in a car/coach), and a really friendly atmosphere. The staff were very friendly and obliging. A great family holiday which brings everybody together in the team work of piloting a boat.
Mr B from Loughborough

A fantastic family holiday, unlike any other holiday available – a totally different experience.
Mr G from Sheffield

The service was second to none and the boat we had was excellent, everyone was so friendly and helpful and we can’t wait for 2010!
Mr T from Hartlepool

Our holiday on the Norfolk Broads was idyllic. We had a 21 and a 16 year old with us and we all enjoyed it. It was very peaceful and restful. We read, we talked, we walked and we admired the views. We all slept well at night and came home thoroughly rested.
Mr B from Horsham

WE TOOK TWO 11 YEAR OLDS WHO WERE EXCITED BY THE PROSPECT OF A PLAYSTATION ON BOARD. THEY USED IT FOR ONLY HALF AN HOUR, AFTER THAT THEY WERE TOO BUSY TO PLAY ON IT. RESULT! THEY LOVED IT, AND SO DID WE. ITS A LEISURLY PUB CRAWL THROUGH BEAUTIFUL SCENERY. GOOD FISHING TOO. THE PEOPLE AT ALPHA WERE GREAT.
Mr H from Dronfield

An excellent base for exploring the broads.
Mr G from Stroud

A wonderful time was had by all – the boat was lovely and to be relieved of the stress and strain of corporate life was wonderful. I would recommend an autumn boating break to anyone. We are already planning next year and are up to 4 families already!!
Mr D from Tunbridge Wells

The most relaxing holiday I have ever had. First class boat and yard and excellent value for money!
Mr B from Hull

The Holiday was amazing. Alpha Craft couldn’t have been more helpful and we are already looking to book next year – thanks for a great holiday!
Mr J from Pontefract

This was a great holiday!
Mr G from Dalbeattie

A peaceful and relaxing holiday.
Mr G from Ramsgate

We always have an holiday on the Broads and the best way to do it is through Hoseasons.
Mrs R from Ossett

Excellent service and an enjoyable holiday!
Mrs K from Rotherham

The holiday was a real chill out, the scenery was everything you could wish and the people of the area welcome visitors and make you feel welcome. The riverside pubs serve excellent food and drink at fair prices. The boat “Spitfire” was spacious, comfortable, well equipped and well laid out. It was easy to handle and everyone in the family just want to know when can we go again!!!!!

If you want a relaxing and stress free holiday then this is the perfect way to have it. We had a wonderful, though too short 4 days – I would recommend a minimum 7 day break to benefit as there is far too much to see in only 4 days. Everything about the company was excellent, very helpful staff and the boats are easy to operate. We shall be returning for another cruise – highly recommended!
Mrs S from Leeds
