Just being on the water and being close to nature was wonderful, on one day we saw 3 otters playing while we had breakfast, then we took a slow trip down the river ant and were lucky enough to see 11 kingfishers, 3 of which we managed to photograph, and later while having champagne on top of the boat in the evening by St. Benets Abbey we saw 2 barn owls, 2 marsh harriers and then fell asleep hearing the deer barking in the fields, magical!!!

On arrival at our boat yard we were warmly greeted, given loads of information, shown around the boat etc and told to ask for help pr advice at any time during our holiday. We had a wonderful week, 5 adults two children (one with special needs) and a baby – we chose an 11 berth cruiser for the extra space due to family dynamics. The boat was great and it was such fun taking turns at being “captain”, we all fished constantly, watched the wildlife (lots of ducks for the little ones), visited a couple of lovely riverside pubs (one right next to our boatyard), and we were so busy we didn’t get chance to visit any of the many attractions around the Broads. We’re going back next year to amend this!
